I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

Okay, I haven't been doing so well in Math.

I need help calculating how many more tests and quiz grades I need to have a grade somewhere in the 90s.

Tests Grades are 55% of your average.

The only test we've had, I got a 71.

Quiz Grades are 25%.

My quiz grades were a 66 and a 44.

[Horrible! I know.]

Classwork and Participation is 20%.

I have a 97.

How many more quizzes and test grades do I need to get a 100 on to obtain an average in the 90s?

Grab your syllabus and count how many tests/quizzes you have left. Its time for damage control.

At the moment, you have:

TESTS: .71 * 55 = 39.05 points

QUIZZES: .55 * 25 = 13.75 points

OTHER: .97 * 20 = 19.4 points

TOTAL GRADE: 72.2%

As you can see, your Test grades will make the largest impact in your grade. Right now youre passing, but I would worry about improving in smaller increments for now, and not worry about the A...yet. Study hard for the tests, you can probably manage a strong B.

Good luck!

I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

it depends on how many more you'll have

I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

what;s "math?"

I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

a ton

I would go to tutoring or ask the teacher for some help.

I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

classwork and participation need to stay the same quizes need to get into the A range same with test if you ace all your quizes your test grade can be in the hi Bs and you still should average some where in the A range

I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

right now you have a 72.2 out of 100, 100's on the next two tests will bring it up to 83.4, and those 100's plus a 100 on 2 quizzes will bring it up to 89.6 or a 90, good luck

ask if there's any extra credit or study sessions you can have with your teacher. you will not pass your final if you have gotten low grades on your quizzes and dont understand what it is they're demonstrating. ask if you can retake either quiz but you definitely need some excessive improvement before you can get anywhere near a 90% or better.

ps good luck! if you have any questions regarding math you can always email me at amyloveee@yahoo.com

That is hard to say: How many more tests do you have?

Study harder and put more effort into the class. I had a Statistics course where I got a 54 on the first test and on the 2nd 3rd and 4th I got an A, B and B.

It may still be possible to pass but you need to work for it. Go to tutoring if you have to and really take good notes in class. As the teacher questions if you don't understand something.

ask your teacher....she will be kinda pleased to know you are concerned. I can't give u any help, cuz I have the (almost) same problem. i got a 71% looooooool!!!!!!!!!

You haven't provided enough information to figure that out. You're averaging a C at the moment, you you can figure you're going to need a bunch of really good grades that are worth a lot (TESTS) to bring up your overall score.

a lot more than five.

Right now you have an 72.2%.

It depends on the assignment because tests are weighted the heaviest, quizes the next, and participation the least.

Your best bet is to get an A on the next test or quiz. or test. If you get a 100% on the next test, you will have a 79.76%.

Unless you are going to have a lot more tests or quizzes, you wont be able to get an A in the class wihout doing some sort of extra credit.

I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

[.55(71) +.25(66+44)/2 +.20(97)] /3 = .90x

solve for x

I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

ok, well now you have a 72.2.

yoou need 2 more 100s on tests and 2 more 100s on quizzes and you will have an 89.8, which would round to a 90!

good luck

I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

first of all it depends on wether your school goes by points or by averages and second youll need to get at least 2 perfects on tests and your basically failing the quizes so id say about 5 would be good but if thats your grades now then your gonna really have to work hard on the next tests and quizes and id think about getting a touter

I'm Failling Math And I need To Improve! Help! Easy Points!?

right now you have a 75.5 in the class... you will need to make all 100 on at least 2 test and 3 quiz to get an 90

I am failing math to, I am taking algebra 1 %26amp; it sucks

but our teacher gives us homework grades.

But i need to make an A to pass this grading period.

I was freaking out, But i have a C %26amp; 2 weeks to bring it up.

but do extra problems, it will help you score better on the tests.

goodluck :)

Depending on how many quizzes and test grades you will have, you will use this formula:

.55*the average of all your test grades + .25*average of all quizzes + .20*97 this should be equal or greater than 90.

If you want to find out about how many more tests and quizzes, say you will have 2 test you will need to do .55*(71+x)/2, say you will have 1 more quiz you will need to do .25*(66+44+x)/3. If you substitute this in the earlier formula, you will have\

.55*(71+x)/2 + .25* (66+41+x)3 + .20*97=90

you will need to make x or greater grade on the each test and quiz you now take from here on out to get a grade of 90 or more.

I'll say good luck!
